Welcome Ad (Prestitial) — a 640×480 pixel ad that displays as the home page loads.

ROS Ad with Video Embed — for an additional fee, any ROS banner may include an embedded video either as the ad creative or along with other text and images. Ads including video and other assets must be coded as HTML5 with the video embedded using YouTube, Vimeo or some similar video hosting service.

Search Banner — search banners correspond with a sponsored search term and will appear on the search results page above the list of results for the specific search term.

Footer Links — text links that appear at the bottom of every page.

Channel Sponsor Links — text links that come with a channel sponsorship and include up to 25 characters and link anywhere you choose.

Video Spotlight — video spotlight ads are served on a section of the home page where videos are displayed using Vimeo or YouTube embed code. A video ad may be upgraded to make the home page video section a screenshot and title that links to a video either hosted on our site or yours.

Innovation TV — this refers to a section on the BXP site with videos that are educational or enlightening about something innovative within the industry rather than promotional sales pitches. You may provide YouTube, Vimeo or other video embed code, or for an additional fee, we can host your .mov or .mp4 file for you.

Development Services

Approval

Once all materials are received, the email will be created in the distribution system. A draft will be sent to the specified contact address for approval. Clients must respond within one business day of receiving the draft to ensure timely delivery.

HTML Specifications

HTML files should adhere to the following specifications:

  • HTML should be designed with plain text and supporting images. Avoid single image emails or image-dependent messages since many email clients have images blocked by default.
  • Positioning should use tables, not CSS. This includes the “absolute position” attribute. CSS can be used for text formatting.
  • All images must have alternative text. Please provide an ALT tag coded into all <img> tags.
  • HTML files must not contain any scripting (including ActiveX, Javascript, or Flash).
  • Do not use animated gifs or background images since many email clients do not support them.
  • To ensure consistent display, HTML should be written with the simplest code possible.
  • The email should be no more than 700 pixels wide.

Putsmail is recommended to send drafts for previewing how the email with appear. This is a free service, the url is: https://www.putsmail.com/.

If you have any questions regarding these specifications, please contact the ST Media Group production department at online@stmediagroup.com.

Animation

All web graphic ad units support animation. Animated gifs are recommended. Please consider the following recommendations when submitting animated banners:

  • Animation length should not exceed 15 seconds. (Home page takeovers and interstitials should be no more than 10 seconds.)
  • Do not include more than 3 slides.
  • Include a prominent call to action and keep it visible during the entire animation. The most effective call to action is a button.
  • We recommend limiting movement to the first 5-8 seconds of an ad to allow for adequate response time.

Please Note: ST Media Group does not provide technical support. The client assumes all responsibility for an ad displaying properly.
